BetterRoaming plans for Apple Watch Family Setup are compatible with the following devices:

  • Cellular Apple Watch Series 4 or later with watchOS 7 or later

  • Cellular Apple Watch SE with watchOS 7 or later


For the best possible performance, we recommend using the latest Apple WatchOS.

You will need an iPhone when first setting up your watch with a data plan. Compatible iPhones include the iPhone 6s or later running iOS 14 or later.

What if my iPhone uses a different provider?

If your iPhone is locked or has an existing plan from a different mobile operator, you can still use a BetterRoaming eSIM on your Apple Watch. The BetterRoaming service is not dependent on the mobile provider you use with your iPhone.
