Troubleshooting

Apple Watch is Not Responding

If you’re unable to use any of the BetterRoaming services because your Apple Watch is not responding, follow these steps from the Apple Watch Support page.

No Service

  1. Are you attempting to use the service while roaming abroad? Unfortunately, it's not possible to use an Apple Watch data plan outside of your chosen country or region.

  2. Do you currently have an active subscription? Login to your account at betterroaming.com  to see if your last payment was successful. If not, select Retry Payment to try again.

  3. Restart your Apple Watch

  4. Check that your iPhone and Apple Watch are paired properly in Family Set Up mode

  5. Is the Cellular/Mobile Data option greyed out on your Apple Watch? If so, your Watch and iPhone may not be paired. Find out how to set up and pair an Apple Watch here

  6. Check that your Cellular/Mobile Data is set to On (your Apple Watch may switch this off when in battery-saving mode)

  7. Check that Airplane mode is turned off

  8. Sometimes Apple Watches receive clearer signal outdoors. If using your watch indoors, try checking the signal strength outside

If the issue persists, please contact us directly through the button below.

Deleted eSIM

If you have accidentally deleted an eSIM from your Apple Watch, don’t worry! The reinstall function allows you to retrieve your eSIM profile and mobile number at the touch of a button.

Deleted eSIMs may be the result of an attempt to resolve a service (calls, texts, data) or device issue (iPhone and/or Apple Watch). An eSIM may be deleted by

  • Deleting the eSIM in the iPhone Watch app.

  • Resetting the watch to factory settings.

  • Unpairing the watch from the iPhone and selecting "Erase All".

Note: The reinstall feature went live on 8th of Aug 2022. If the eSIM was deleted before this date, the reinstall function won’t be available.

To reinstall a deleted eSIM:

  1. Login to your account at betterroaming.com

  2. Select My Plans. If you have more than 1 active subscription, each subscription with a deleted eSIM will have an option labeled Set up the eSIM

  3. Select Set up the eSIM from an active subscription

  4. Select Reinstall

  5. If the eSIM reinstallation is successful, you should see the following message: "eSIM reinstall operation initiated, please follow the next steps in your watch."

  6. Pair the iPhone and Apple watch in Family Set Up mode.

  7. On your iPhone, open the Watch App and select the Watch where eSIM will be reinstalled.
